Exeter Chiefs prop Alec Hepburn has been suspended for three games.

Following his red card against Harlequins in Saturday’s Premiership match, Exeter Chiefs prop Alec Hepburn has been suspended for three games.

In the 14-12 defeat, the 28-year-old was sent out for a tip tackle on fellow England international Joe Marler.

Exeter’s Heineken Champions Cup matches against Glasgow and Montpellier, as well as their next Premiership fixture against London Irish, will now be without Hepburn.

In 145 appearances for the Chiefs, the front-rower has scored seven tries.

After 12 games, Exeter is in sixth place in the Premiership rankings with 33 points.
