The Striker made the announcement on Twitter on Thursday, saying “I’ve been self-isolating and the latest test I took was positive for COVID 19. I had some symptoms and I’m following doctor’s orders for recovery.”
After a close contact, I've been self-isolating and the latest test I took was positive for COVID 19. I had some symptoms and I'm following doctor's orders for recovery. Take care, everyone!

Aguero had been set to make his first start since October in Sunday’s FA Cup third-round tie against Birmingham, but was absent from City’s matchday squad after having come into close contact with some who later tested positive for Covid-19.
That means he will miss the FA Cup trip to Cheltenham, and the Premier League fixtures against Burnley and Sheffield United.
Manchester City have been hard hit by the virus with 11 players and staff testing positive in recent weeks. Kyle Walker, Gabriel Jesus, Ederson and Ferran Torres are among the senior players also to have been forced to isolate in recent weeks.
