Awards season is always fascinating in the beautiful game from seeing the best players, coaches and goals of the last 12 months acknowledged to the history books being written in front of our eyes.
FIFA on Friday announced that Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo, Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, and Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski are the finalists for the Best FIFA Men’s Player 2020 award.

Liverpool’s Alisson Becker, Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer, and Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak have been shortlisted for the Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper award,.
For the Best FIFA Men’s Coach award Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, Bayern Munich’s Hansi Flick, and Leeds United’s Marcelo Bielsa are the finalists.

Uruguayan striker Luis Suárez is amongst the finalists for the Puskas award for best goal after his goal for Barça on 7 December 2019 against Mallorca was named on the shortlist.
FIFA said that all winners, including those of the FIFA Fan Award and the FIFA Fair Play Award, will be crowned on December 17.
The women’s best player shortlist includes Lucy Bronze, Wendi Renard and Pernille Harder. Bronze and Renard are teammates who won the European title with Lyon last season. Harder played on the team that lost in the final, Wolfsburg.
Harder won the UEFA award as the best women’s player in Europe last season. Lewandowski won the men’s award.

For the Best FIFA Women’s Coach award Emma Hayes (Chelsea FC Women), Jean-Luc Vasseur (France / Olympique Lyonnais), Sarina Wiegman (Netherlands / Dutch national team)
