Striker Sebastien Haller has joined Ajax Amsterdam from West Ham on a four and a half year deal, through June 20, 2025 the Dutch champions announced on Friday.

Ajax pays a transfer fee of 22.5 million euros to West Ham United, it makes the 26-year-old the most expensive signing in the Dutch Eredivisie.

In a statement, the Hammers said: “West Ham United would like to thank Sébastien for his contribution to the Club and wish him all the best for his future career.”

After making a move, Haller expressed his delight –
“It’s like I am coming back home,” said Haller in a video tweeted by Ajax

“Happy to announce my arrival at this iconic club @afcajax and i can’t wait to start playing in this mythical stadium,” Haller wrote on Twitter.
