PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) fired coach Thomas Tuchel on Tuesday making way for Mauricio Pochettino.

Tuchel is the third straight coach to be fired by PSG, following Unai Emery and Laurent Blanc.

PSG defeated Strasbourg 4-0 on Wednesday however Tuchel was questioned after the sport about feedback he made to German broadcaster SPORT1.

The German coach reportedly claimed that managing PSG was extra akin to being a politician or a sports activities minister, such was the extent of problem, and that he didn’t obtain sufficient recognition for main the membership to its first Champions League remaining.

Tuchel clashed with PSG sporting director Leonardo, who publicly rebuked him over comments made shortly before the end of the transfer window in October.

Last season, Tuchel bounced back by leading PSG to a domestic treble and the Champions League final, losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich.

Overall, Tuchel took charge of 127 games, winning 95, drawing 12 draws and losing 20.

PSG forward Kylian Mbappe bid his former boss farewell on Christmas Eve and said his tenure has been a “wonderful part of the club’s history”.

“It is sadly the law of football,” Mbappe wrote on Instagram. “Nobody will forget your time here. You wrote a wonderful part of the club’s history and I say to you thank you coach.”

The 48-year-old Pochettino is expected to be the new coach of PSG (Paris Saint-Germain). Pochettino also helped Southampton stay in the Premier League.

Pochettino is set to make Tottenham’s Dele Alli his first signing as coach of Paris Saint-Germain.
