Goals from Casemiro and Karim Benzema gave Real Madrid a win over Granada to take them level on points with leaders Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga.
Real Madrid were coming off a 3-1 win over Eibar and after a poor first half, Real took the lead when Casemiro headed in from Marco Asensio’s cross from the left.
Granada’s best chance fell to Antonio Puertas in the opening minutes of the match after a poor pass from Raphaël Varane was pounced on for an opportunity in front of goal by Antonio Puertas.
Real Madrid have their sixth win in a row, but the scoreline suggested it was a much comfier evening for the hosts than it actually was joining leaders Atletico on 32 points, although Real have played two games more than their city rivals.
Meanwhile, Granada stay seventh for the moment, but will be overtaken by Cádiz if the Submarino Amarillo beat Real Betis tonight
