Virat Kohli turned to social media after India’s exit from the ongoing T20 World Cup to thank supporters for their support and to admit that the team is “disappointed” with their recent performances.
India defeated Namibia in their last Super 12 match in Dubai on Monday but were unable to qualify to the semi-finals when New Zealand defeated Afghanistan on Sunday.
Thanking everyone for their support, he continued, “The support from all of you has been fantastic and we are grateful for it all. We will aim to come back stronger and put our best foot forward. Jai Hind”.

The 33-year-old posted on social media after posting photos from the tournament, “We went out to achieve our goal as a team. Unfortunately, we fell short, and no one is more disappointed than the team overall.”
In Group 2, India finished third behind Pakistan and New Zealand. Pakistan, New Zealand, England, and Australia are the teams that already have qualified for the semi-finals.
India defeated Namibia by nine wickets on Monday. India cruised to 136 for one in 15.2 overs, chasing a target of 133 runs, with KL Rahul smashing an unbeaten 54 runs off 36 balls. Rohit Sharma, an opener, also made a half-century with a knock of 56 off 37 balls.
Namibia had earlier posted a total of 132 for eight in 20 overs, with David Wiese top-scoring with 26 off 25 deliveries. Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin were in excellent form for India, each taking three wickets.
