A masterclass from Ben McDermott 110* as the hosts chase down Adelaide’s 175 with nine balls to spare.

The Hobart Hurricanes have struggled for consistency so far this season, and they are fourth in the points table with two wins and three losses in five matches.

Just like the Strikers, Hobart too lost an opener early. And just like Adelaide, there was a big second-wicket stand. While the visitors lost both the set batters in the same over, the home team didn’t make that mistake.

Siddle broke the 81-run stand in the Power Surge by removing D’Arcy Short, but that didn’t hamper McDermott. Coming off the back of a half-century, McDermott was clinical, took calculated risks and hit some massive sixes against pace and spin.

A special knock (110* off 60) from a special player and saw Hobart win their second successive game in front of their home crowd.

A fourth loss on the bounce for the Adelaide Strikers meant Hobart jumped to third place in the table. That’s a wrap for our coverage of this game.
