Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on the defending IPL champions Mumbai Indians at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. KKR, under Dinesh Karthik, will get their campaign underway with a win while Mumbai Indians, who lost their opening game against Chennai Super Kings, will look for an improved overall show.
Both teams have been involved in some epic games over the past few years but it is the Mumbai Indians who enjoy a healthy overall lead over the Kolkata-based franchise.
KKR’s fortunes this year will depend on Sunil Narine’s exploits with the ball. His remodelled action, where he keeps the ball hidden until the release, was a success in CPL.
Narine 🆚 Rohit: Our Knight got the better of him on 6 occasions 💪

Both teams have faced each other 25 times in the IPL and Mumbai Indians have come out on top 19 times while KKR has just six wins to their name.
Coming back to Mumbai Indians, there are few lessons for their batsmen as well from the first game. Most of their middle-order players are fluent stroke-makers. However, as their numbers three, four and five found out against CSK

Probable KKR Playing XI
KKR – Sunil Narine, Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan, Andre Russell, Dinesh Karthik (C, wk), Pat Cummins, Kuldeep Yadav, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shivam Mavi, Prasidh Krishna.
Probable MI Playing XI
MI – Rohit Sharma (C), Quinton de Kock, Suryakumar Yadav, Saurabh Tiwari, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Kieron Pollard, James Pattinson, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah
The team winning the toss will choose to field and that isn’t a surprise. The dew factor will worry the captains with Karthik revealing it’s been hard to predict if and when it’ll come down.
