Rohit Sharma – We will bat first. Looks a good pitch, played pretty well in our first match here. There are things we have done very well, we have been consistent so far – we have no changes in our playing XI
On paper, Mumbai Indians are unarguably the most well-balanced side in IPL 2020. Mumbai Indian’s having played 5 games have won 3 out of them.
Their batting mainstays all came good, with runs coming from all the big names in top of the order, Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock finding the form latley, Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan.
Their Bowling hasn’t bowled up to their full potential especially Hardik Pandya, and Suryakumar Yadav and Rahul Chahar are yet to give standout performances.
Steve Smith – We have three changes tonight – Jaiswal is in, Rajpoot is back in and Tyagi makes his debut. Looks a beautiful wicket, wasn’t sure as to what to do at the toss – now, we are bowling first, need to do the basics well
Rajasthan Royals are however struggling, having played 4 games in total losing their last 2 matches to Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Jos Buttler hasn’t hit form and Smith’s early dismissals is a worrisome for and Rajasthan Royals would want their top three batsmen to contribute more.
The lower middle-order has done a decent job but they would need their top-order batsmen to fire if they want to challenge Mumbai Indians.
Their bowling expectation for RR would be from english paceman Jofra Archer, rest would be revolving around him.
Mumbai Indians(MI) (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma(c), Quinton de Kock(w), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, James Pattinson, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah
