India will be playing three T20Is against New Zealand from 17th November

The All India Senior Selection Committee has announced the T20 squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand to India, starting from November 17, 2021.

Virat Kohli retired as Captain from T20Is and now it’s time for Rohit Sharma to lead Team India from the front, as he is declared as the new skipper for the upcoming T20 series against New Zealand. The 16 men squad consist of some new youngsters, and the exclusion of Virat Kohli, All-rounders Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammad Shami.

Youngsters like Ruturaj Gaikwad and Venkatesh Iyer are included in the squad, keeping the IPL performance in consideration, as well as Hardik is still struggling with his hamstring which leads to an inability to bowl for a longer period, and India is desperate for a medium-pacer All-rounder that’s where Venkatesh Iyer comes into play, Another important inclusion we can see is Yuzvendra Chahal is back in the squad and the Pacers Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel are also in the squad.

Rohit Sharma is leading the team whereas KL Rahul has been appointed as the Vice-Captain for the upcoming series.
