Top-ranked Tai Tzu-ying won a nail-biting women’s badminton World Tour Final in Bangkok Sunday, defeating reigning Olympic champion Carolina Marin’s by 14-21, 21-8, 21-19.fg

Marin wining the opening set by 14-21 but Tai comeback strongly and winning the second by 21-8 and the decider set by 21-19 to win the BWF World Tour Final.

Tai Tzu-Ying won her 3rd women’s singles championship title, blocking reigning Olympic champion Carolina Marin’s bid for a hat-trick of titles in three weeks.

In Men’s Single Match it was Denmark’s Anders Antonsen defeated compatriot Viktor Axelsen by 21-16, 5-21, 21-17 i to win the men’s singles final.

Viktor Axelsen, ranked fourth lost the opening set by 16-21 and managed to regroup to win the second game 21-5.

In the decider set Antonsen claimed the game, triumphing 21-17 to claim the game and the hour-long match against Axelsen.

In the Men’s Doubles, seventh-ranked Lee Yang and Wang Chi-Lin of Taiwan won their third title in three weeks. They beat Indonesia’s Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan 21-17, 23-21 in 37 minutes.

In the Women’s Doubles fourth-ranked Lee So-hee and Shin Seung-chan defeated sixth-ranked Kim So-yeong and Kong Hee-yong 15-21, 26-24, 21-19 in 92 minutes.

In Mixed Doubles Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai are the first ever shuttlers from Thailand to win a title in the Finals series’ entire 38-year history defeating SEO Seung Jae and CHAE YuJung 21-18, 8-21, 21-8 to click the BWF World Tour Final: Mixed Doubles.
